Attorney General Terry Goddard will meet with U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Federal Trade Commission Chair Deborah Majoras on Monday, June 12, to discuss ways of putting downward pressure on continued high gasoline prices. Goddard will be joined by Attorneys General from nine other states for the meetings.
Also on the agenda is Colorado City, Renegade Prophet Warren Jeffts and the hunt to close down his renegade sect.
While they are in Washington, D.C., the state Attorneys General will also meet with several U.S. Senators about gas prices and a federal anti-price gouging bill. Goddard is co-chair of the Consumer Protection Committee of the National Association of Attorneys General.Additionally, Goddard plans to meet that day with top officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation to discuss the coordination of state and federal efforts in the search for fugitive Warren Jeffs, who was recently added to the FBI's national "10 Most Wanted" list.
