Pederson ( AZ-Sen ) goes on the attack

PHOENIX -- Arizona business leader and U.S. Senate candidate Jim Pederson today launched a new phase of his campaign - an effort to hold Jon Kyl accountable for his 20-year record in Washington. Pederson unveiled a new television ad that discusses Jon Kyl's connection to the big oil and gas special interests that are financing his campaign.

Jon Kyl's connection to that industry is another example of how he has forgotten Arizona and gone Washington. He has been missing in action when America has looked for leadership on energy policy and Arizona families have looked for help with gas prices.

Instead, he has supported the status qu Big oil and gas executives make billions in profits on the backs of American families, who are paying record high prices at the pump. Meanwhile, oil companies funnel nearly $300,000 to Kyl's campaign to keep him in Washington to protect their interests.
